Hmm... I don't have or want kids, but I work the day job, and even a second job, plus I choose to take the responsibility for the house. Any time I want help, I tell hubby what to do. But, I cook, clean, do laundry, pay the bills AND bring home the bacon. We all choose our lives, and we may have some marital problems, but that doesn't take away the fact that most of us are ALLOWED to choose our paths, and do so happily. Resenting it later is our own deal.

Very well stated. I have read and enjoyed your blog for awhile, but never commented. I have much the same situation (with husband working long and hard hours) and it is nice to see how I feel put down in words so succinctly.

One easy way for you to get a little more credit for the work you do take on for your family? Take off with Carol for a Saturday at the day spa and let Dave wrangle the house and the kids for a few hours.

My question is - how do I know when I'm letting things go, and how do I know when I'm repressing them?? :)
