I had a hard time sleeping last night. I often forget that a cocktail before bed SOUNDS like a solid plan, like it will help me fall asleep, but then there I am at 3AM EYES WIDE OPEN. After laying in bed trying to fight it for an hour (while Genoa stuck her feet down the back of my pants), I finally shuffled downstairs for a glass of water. And then the smell hit me:
DOG SHIT. EVERYWHERE.
Harry continues to give us grief. I spent twenty minutes cleaning the floor where he crapped and then apparently STEPPED IN IT and tracked it all over the downstairs. It wasn't until I woke up this morning that I saw the stairs themselves.
White carpet! Who are the geniuses who thought that one up?
Anyway, I'm off to finally throw down the cash for a spot steamer. I'm SO sick of this crap. LITERALLY.
That was you who tracked it upstairs? I thought it was the dog.
Let's not forget that you were just a wee bit inconsiderate in waking me up just before 4:00am only to leave me tossing and turning until 5:15am when I finally gave up trying to get back to sleep and got up.
I came down stairs to find two large puddles of some internal dog liquid on either side of his bed. Disgusting.
That makes me sick and TIRED.

Have you considered putting up a baby gate at night to keep in one area, like maybe one without carpeting? We did this with one dog with that problem, until he got straightened out again. He did that when he got scared by something outside for awhile and would go in the floor instead.

Oh, my God. My blood pressure just took off through the roof just LOOKING at this. Oh. No. I couldn't tolerate it.

Yeah, I'd be in a pretty bad mood as well. Let me know if you find a spot steamer you like, I'm in the market for one as well.
Good luck with the poo.
