And called it GRAVY.
I hope you love reading it as much as I loved writing it.
For now, you can buy it on Amazon.com. I promise it'll be available on Nook within 24 hours (but probably sooner!)
I didn't include the recipe in the book, so I'll post it here now.
2 each, 1 pound, 14 ounce cans of peeled whole plum tomatoes (preferably Muir Glen Organic)
2 each, 6 ounce cans of tomato paste (go Italian if you can find it!)
1/2 an onion, minced
5 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil (again, go Italian if you can!)
salt and pepper
2 bay leaves
Basil leaves, fresh
1 SECRET ingredient (sorry, you have to read the book to find out what it is!)
Heat olive oil in a large sauce pan and add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is translucent, not brown. Blend the whole tomatoes in a blender or food processor and add to the pot. Add paste, bay leaves, basil, salt and pepper and SECRET ingredient. Let simmer for about two hours.
Pour over a pound of your favorite pasta. Feeds 2-4 people. I never make it without tripling the recipe and filling my freezer with goodness. ENJOY!

Got the book, already in chapter 4. Loving it so far!

Yum, the gravy looks good. I'm excited to see it'll be out for Nook soon. It'll be my first book...I've had this beast for 4 months now. WTH?
PS Love the name of your publisher. You are a dirty, filthy...awesome lady. Congrats!

I got the book. Love it! (Oh, and S--I didn't get the book to figure out the recipe. No need to be a douche. You can actually just not comment at all and that would be ok.)
Best of luck with your book sales, Amanda!

Nancy- comments have been moderated for as long as I can remember...and since when is it such a horrible thing to pursue a dream AND make money?? Get over yourself.

I can't put it down! Great job and congratulations!

Grats, Amanda! I don't have a lot of time to read lately, but I promise I will eventually snag the book. In the meantime, I hope that it's successful and that it gives you the confidence to write more in the future. Not everyone is in a position to be able to follow their dreams, but if you can, you should always go for it! We only have one life to live, and making the most of it is the only way to go!

Congrats on the book...I really enjoyed it.
S - the recipe isn't in the book. What a douchebag comment.
Nancy - the secret ingredient is not oregano. Again, another douchey comment.
I don't get why haters feel the need to spread their poison. Get a life and grow up.
