When we moved to Washington, we had to give up spending Christmas Eve at my parent's house. It was (and still is, even without us) everything a holiday gathering should be - a casual potluck dinner with my mom's decorating touch and my dad's big extended family. I'll be honest - Christmas Eve is the ONLY night of the year I ever wish we still lived in California. I miss my family and the convenience of knowing that we could spend Christmas eve with everyone else and still wake up in our own beds the next morning. That's the only reason we never travel at Christmas - a firm, long-standing tradition of Making Christmas Morning A Big Effing Deal.
Unfortunately, we had to give up a few more traditions this year (cards, parties, outdoor lights, gifts for anyone not named Alex and Genoa), but we're focusing on the traditions that we've managed to keep. The snowy footprints from Santa.
The cookies and milk.
The insanely-excited zombie people. And the HOUSE. Earlier this week the Fedex man brought us the Very Best Christmas Gift
Ever: a forbearance letter from the bank saying we don't have to pay
our mortgage again until April.
MERRY CHRISTMAS INDEED.

Yowza! That's a super gift! I guess there IS a Santa Claus (or maybe there was a 'Santa clause' in your mortgage papers, yuk, yuk!)
Love Santa's snowy footprints, and your kids are super-cute!
Merry Christmas, thanks for the great blogging all year long!

YAY!!!!! So excited about your mortgage news. Merry Christmas to your family. It brought tears to my eyes when I read this.
(my second thought, of course, was "thank goodness for Obama's economic plan! ha!)

Loving the snowy Santa footprints, what a great idea. Doesn't matter that we've only had one white Christmas in my lifetime in Seattle. :-)

Normally, teachers want to testify the term paper essays writing ability of some their students, nevertheless not all students are able to write correctly just because of lack of knowledge or other things. Hence, a paper writing service would help to create the argument essay very fast.
