It always seems like the moment I go and say something sappy and earnest about my family, they immediately make me regret it. Dave read that last post, called me a liar (in jest) and then promptly began complaining that I was burning the bacon. Which I was. But still.
IT'S BACON.
Shut your bacon-hole and eat it.
Our every day marriage is actually less romantic than perhaps I've led you to believe. In real life, we sound exactly like a young version of Frank and Estelle Costanza. It's a bit LOUD is what I'm saying, but perhaps love and decibel level are positively correlated. We care enough to holler.
In other news, I'm having a Big November. I'm slowly working up the nerve to submit my novel; I've written half of a second one (40,000 words and counting); and best of all, I'm starting a business (that I'm not ready to discuss quite yet, but is pretty much everything I've ever wanted to do with my professional brain) (and a bag of chips). If everything goes my way, it would be the perfect trifecta of awesomesauce - even better than non-burnt bacon.
I would say something self-deprecating about trying not to get my hopes up, but my hopes are already way above my head and honestly, is there really such a thing as wasted hope, anyway?

Good luck. Hope it all works out, the house, Dave's job, the novels, the new business, and the bacon.

You know I was thinking about you on my walk to work. I was wondering what you could do for a business...You are a good writer, you have financial planning skills (maybe bow staff skills I don't know). You are filled with potential Amanda. I am excited to hear what the future has in store for you.

Oh, I can't wait to hear the details. I have two little businesses I am contemplating, but keeping the details to myself until I have done some more research. I think it's a great time for the little guy (or SAHMs) to get into the market.
BTW -- the Southerner in me loves that you used the word "holler" in this post! I holler at my husband all the time, but he's the love of my life and truly my best friend. :o)

That last little line...I really needed to hear that today. Thanks. And good luck!

I firmly believe that hollering, in addition to love, makes the marital world go 'round.
Or at least that's what my marriage leads me to believe! :)

Bacon on the crisp side never hurt anyone and tastes better a little burnt.
Good luck on the book submission.

You can only complain about the bacon when you're the one who brought it home :)
