No, seriously, she WILL cut you if you touch her treasures. STEP OFF.
Last night the kids got out of their beds AGAIN and we just didn't have the gumption to punish them today for something we plan to let them do tomorrow. So the discussion was had, everyone agreed to STFU and Be Cool and we let them go to sleep in Genoa's bed.
I love how their pillowcases speak such volumes about their personalities. Or their genders, whatever.
We overheard a bit of door opening and some giggling, but all that transpired was that Genoa spilled her water and then Alex retrieved his stuffed snake and got his sister her Sleeping Beauty doll. After ten hours of uninterrupted bliss, we woke up to find this:
This was the first time in weeks that Dave hasn't had to get up with Genoa in the middle of the night (or at least yell at her to go back to bed), so we're hoping that a warm body is the magic solution. Let's all cross our fingers.
OMG that is the cutest thing I've ever seen. All these naked sleepers at your house! In the middle of the winter! HILARIOUS.

Her arms in the last photo kill me.

Such a beautiful girl. Handsome boy too.
I like the contrast in pillow cases. Could you possibly come up with more "boy" and "girl" pillows?

My oldest two are about the same age diff and we have the bed-hopping thing going on as well. We're totally of the 'I don't care, just sleep!' philosophy in our house too.

Too cute! Win-win, too. They think they're getting away with something, and YOU get 10 hours quiet time! :-)

We spent quite a few months with all three of our kids sleeping in the same room, having a "sleep over". But now, girlfriend wants to be in her room and it works that way as well. I am of the opinion, whatever gets them to sleep and keeps them to sleep go for it.

That is so, so cute. I hope that puts and end to the infinite night-waking for you and the girl.

Oh my god they are so cute. I can't wait until this works in our house. At this point my biggest challenge is keeping the two year old out of the new babies bed, to think someday I may endorse it.
Recent comfort items or treasures, dad's sweaty bike glove, my make-up brush and a memory stick for the computer (he sleeps with it). My kid is officially a bit crazy.

At some point, actually, the magic wears off (for them). My two boys did lots of sleeping together, but eventually the older one REALLY wanted his space and that was just when (coincidence?) the second decided he was afraid of the dark. But they both really want their sister to sleep with them.

I find it very surprising that you are not concerned about showing pictures of your little girl without clothes. am I the only one that is concerned with pedophiles and creeps taking pictures off blogs? it's amazingly easy to find your address if people want to through blogs, it happened to one of my friends (someone in a different state called the police on her and they actually went to check in on her and her boys).
I too think it's cute they are bedsharing, that's a amazing bond they are building.
but really, I know it's your personal blog and I'm a nobody, but each time I stop by your blog and see a pic of your girl without clothes it gives me goosebumps as the first thing I think is how I'm praying some creep is not looking at them too.
I hope I'm not insulting you or anything...

for reference, what happened to my friend is that someone that reads her blog in a different state somehow found out her exact address and called the police on her. She does not post much information on her blog and yet this woman that does not know her was able to get her full name and address just like that.
and everyone that knows her is beyond creeped that in spite of not posting the name of her city, or any other particulars this was possible for this woman.

Awwwwwww! I have a similar picture from the very first night we lived in Chicago. It was Emma's first night in a big girl bed. She wasn't so sure about it, so she crawled in with Hayley and there I found them, cuddled up so snug and warm. It's one of my very favorite photos.
Print out that last photo so you can look at it when you feel like throwing them both out of the house!

My niece and nephew (4 and 2) did not sleep through the night until my sister finally let them sleep together. Now? They regularly sleep 10 hours. IN A ROW. She thought about trying to separate them, but after a couple nights of uninterrupted sleep, she decided to forget it and let them co-sleep. Sounds like maybe Alex and Genoa are similar... :)
