Look what Genoa can do!
She leaned back and then....
Leaned forward, thus figuring out how to push herself on the swing when mom is too busy chatting up her friends at Friday playgroup.
She's TWO.
Alex, my FIVE year old? Still hasn't figured out how to pump himself on the swing. He gets all angry because he can't do it and then insists I push him (which I won't, not until he learns how to do it himself) and then gets down and stomps off.
Fortunately, after seeing his sister do it (even without pumping with her feet), he tried a little harder to figure it out on Friday and finally made some progress.
Eventually Genoa figured out that if leaning back a little is good? Leaning back A LOT is even better.
Another little milestone I want to remember happened today.
Child holds her hair back for me while I put her clothes on (or in this case her costume). I found this particular milestone to be gut-wrenchingly adorable.
