Pay it forward.

GRAVY

  • My first novel started with a mole. Yes, a MOLE - a freckle, a birthmark, whatever you want to call it.
  • I was at the pool with my daughter getting ignored by our swim instructor when a lifeguard with a particularly ripped abdomen walked by. He stopped to flirt with one of the female lifeguards and my eyes flew directly to an adorable mole on the top can of his six-pack.
  • "How cute!" I thought (among other things). "He looks like a character in a romance novel!"
  • So I went home and started writing fiction for the first time. That was over a year ago and I still haven't been able to stop. GRAVY is the story of a suburban housewife who wants another baby, but gets a man with a mole instead.
  • GRAVY is now available on Kindle and Nook!

Dude I hear you on the no sleep with fans, windows opening, barking dogs, noisey neighbour kids allowed out WAY to late in my opinion, thunder storms last night (we had it up here in Victoria BC too) and a baby that likes to get up several times per night. Hats off to you for all the prep. Enjoy your Holiday!

I think you're amazing. I would even offer to take the kids for you a for a few hours so you could sleep...but there's a small matter of a baby hanging very, very low in my vagenious that makes moving about a bit, um, awkward. And yes, I was up most of the night too with all the lightning and LOUD thunder. I love thunderstorms, but not when I'm already down to 5 hours of sleep due to peeing. (oh no, I'm not miserable, not at all)

Wow, I don't envy that situation. I hope you were able to grab a nap or something after all that. Although, I will say that for me thunder storms help me sleep because I find them to be very calming. :D
