Well the Great Northwest officially bypassed Spring and went straight to Summer. On Tuesday, we had the heater running and today it'll be 94 degrees. We went directly from staying inside to keep dry from the rain to staying inside because it's too damn hot in the backyard. We're having friends over for lunch today and I'm pretty sure the garden hose is going to make an appearance.
Last night I caught Alex in a contented post-nap pose and he actually LET ME take his picture for a change.
Such a handsome little monkey.
The countdown is officially on: Genoa will be TWO in seven days. Be still my heart.

Isn't that weird? What the heck happened to 70?
Enjoy the weather!!

WOW. We live in Florida and it's only in the low 80's today. We're a good 10 degrees cooler than you are!

They grow up way too fast sometimes. G-son is 5 and for 4 years he would hardly talk NOW, I'm pretty sure he talks in his sleep...non-stop. He sounds so grown up it kills me some days. He's the last so I try desperately to savor every moment of him and all of them.

Its been in the 90s in the bay area too, but finally back to 65 today. We went to Capitola beach on Friday because it was so hot. The water actually felt warm! it was awesome. I think its the first time I have swam at a California beach and not totally frozen my ass off.
