I just wrote a post about how we're watching John Adams on HBO and how awesome it is and yada yada yada, dude I totally love this country, but I won't bore anyone with posting it. I'm sure you'd probably rather read about how I took the kids to an indoor play area place today and after over two hours of crawling around on my hands and knees and hiking my sagging jeans up over my flat butt a thousand times in a row and generally being Super Mom, Genoa tripped over her own feet and landed eyelid-first onto the edge of the slide. She now looks like Rocky Balboa.
Did I mention that the kids are scheduled for professional portraits on Tuesday? How did I not see this one coming? You'd think I was new at this job or something.
I've been scrambling around doing all that last minute pre-vacation shopping I love so dearly. Any opportunity to make a list and I'm ON IT, but my house is a disaster. The kitchen sink is so full that I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Tomorrow's list:
1. Clean house.
2. Pack.
3. Get a car wash.
4. Keep the kids up late so they'll nap Saturday afternoon before our dinnertime flight.
It's also Alex's last day of preschool, which will be entirely bittersweet, unlike the cookies Alex picked out to share with his class. Hopefully I'll remember to pick up my camera at some point tomorrow.

I am all over John Adams and feeling mighty patriotic myself these days too!
Good luck with the flying...

One of my best friend's daughters (ages 6 and 3) got into a biting fight the morning of their Christmas portraits. You can see the teeth marks on their arms if you look close enough. Kids will be kids. :)
