Pay it forward.

GRAVY

  • My first novel started with a mole. Yes, a MOLE - a freckle, a birthmark, whatever you want to call it.
  • I was at the pool with my daughter getting ignored by our swim instructor when a lifeguard with a particularly ripped abdomen walked by. He stopped to flirt with one of the female lifeguards and my eyes flew directly to an adorable mole on the top can of his six-pack.
  • "How cute!" I thought (among other things). "He looks like a character in a romance novel!"
  • So I went home and started writing fiction for the first time. That was over a year ago and I still haven't been able to stop. GRAVY is the story of a suburban housewife who wants another baby, but gets a man with a mole instead.
  • GRAVY is now available on Kindle and Nook!

I agree about the boys. I'm not even TiVo-ing the boys' shows.

I realized last night that it's not Amanda Overmyer who looks old... it's Amanda Overmyer's HAIR.

CHANGE THE HAIR, Amanda. Truly, if you look closely at that girl's face, she's smooth and healthy and 20-something. Her hair adds twenty years. Not good years. Trailer years.

Carly's amazing. I love her story, call me sappy. She told a story during her audition phase about how her husband was afraid he'd hurt her chances, what with being completely tattooed and all. My heart melted right there.

And I SWEAR I know the family Brooke nannies for. I swear I do. I need to double-check before I start yapping, though.

Rayne of Terror

I voted for Luke because he was two years behind me in undergrad even tho I don't know him.

Sara

I was so sad that I keep missing the show- but maybe there's no need to be yet. Although I haven't watched it without TiVo in a few years and I'm not sure I can handle all the "blah, blah, blah" that I generally fast forward through.
Once they're down to the top 12 I'll be making a real effort to watch.

Im watching AI like I do Nip/Tuck this season.

I personally like Amanda Overmyer. She's different, and i like to see different than the same ole-same ole. Granted, her style/hair is a little off but sometimes its ok to be off. At least she is being herself, and THAT i admire.

Isnt Carly the one where the news reported she had already had a record deal and make a CD but it didnt sell well? I cant remember......

dregina

I'm loving Syesha. And Carly. The boys are a total yawn.

Rachel

I agree... very mediocre season thus far. I personally disagree with AI for allowing Carly to be on the show... I don't think that someone who's already had a deal with a record company (especially the one that Randy Jackson himself worked for) should be allowed to compete... but I digress... I also think it was a little unfair for Joey Fatone and Drew Lachey to be on dancing with the stars (doesn't mean I don't love 'em!).

So far I cannot name a single favorite.

Eric
