Pay it forward.

GRAVY

  • My first novel started with a mole. Yes, a MOLE - a freckle, a birthmark, whatever you want to call it.
  • I was at the pool with my daughter getting ignored by our swim instructor when a lifeguard with a particularly ripped abdomen walked by. He stopped to flirt with one of the female lifeguards and my eyes flew directly to an adorable mole on the top can of his six-pack.
  • "How cute!" I thought (among other things). "He looks like a character in a romance novel!"
  • So I went home and started writing fiction for the first time. That was over a year ago and I still haven't been able to stop. GRAVY is the story of a suburban housewife who wants another baby, but gets a man with a mole instead.
  • GRAVY is now available on Kindle and Nook!

Oh Dear. I have nothing to offer but giant, GIANT hugs. Hoping you all feel better soon.

Lia

Lord, could it get much worse? I am so sorry you are dealing with this!

Candy

Can I interest you in an industrial-sized can of Lysol?

Kimmie

Sending you all HUGE hugs and lots of "get well" vibes!!!!!!!

That is just all way too horrible.

Rachel

Ugh! I hope you feel better SO soon.

Tell Carol and Dave to wash hands, wash hands, wash hands (30 seconds in warm water at least). And if at all possible you need to avoid doing any cooking for the next few days. Little known fact that you are most contagious from the time you start showing sypmtoms until a few days later and the easiest way it is passed from one person to the other is from unwashed hands in the mouth or through contaminated food. Ill persons should not cook (it's what causes outbreaks in restaurants - bleh)

I'll be praying for you guys still!!

I saw that the doctor at the hospital had suggested a follow-up with Alex's ped. I was actually wondering myself if they were having you go back in or just call. I would, were I you, ask for another blood test when Alex is feeling better just to be sure his blood counts have gone down and that it is indeed the pneumonia that's causing the problems. I say this, because though it probably is pneumonia, without symptoms I think it's important to double check.

You guys get well soon!!! And Dave STAY WELL!!!

Tana

Oh, Amanda. I am so sorry to hear this. I will be praying for a speedy recovery you and your family.
I second the no cooking idea...besides the spreading of germs you are sick and need your rest, well as much as you can get anyway!

Rachel

I hope the lack of updates means that all is well and you are spending time recuperating to the fullest!!!
