GRAVY

  • My first novel started with a mole. Yes, a MOLE - a freckle, a birthmark, whatever you want to call it.
  • I was at the pool with my daughter getting ignored by our swim instructor when a lifeguard with a particularly ripped abdomen walked by. He stopped to flirt with one of the female lifeguards and my eyes flew directly to an adorable mole on the top can of his six-pack.
  • "How cute!" I thought (among other things). "He looks like a character in a romance novel!"
  • So I went home and started writing fiction for the first time. That was over a year ago and I still haven't been able to stop. GRAVY is the story of a suburban housewife who wants another baby, but gets a man with a mole instead.
  • GRAVY is now available on Kindle and Nook!

Holy crap! I have been saying the same thing!

Well, yeah, because Amanda Peet is pregnant. She must be several months along, because that was totally a maternity blouse she was wearing last week. And even more so this week.

I'm glad they are having her be pregnant on the show, instead of doing the stupid don't-show-her-below-the-boobs thing that other shows do. C'mon, we're smarter than that. :)

So, who's the daddy? Seriously, who do you think it will end up being?

Seems like after two epidodes I read that she was pregnant, I thought maybe they would write her character out since it was so early in the season. I just watched last week's Desparate Housewives and you can totally tell Marcia Cross is pregnant. She was always so thin, but now you can see the ginormous pregnancy boobs.

Look! Confirmed: http://www.tvsquad.com/2006/10/19/amanda-peet-will-be-pregnant-on-studio-60-too/

I screwed up the url, let's see if this works.

Ha -- I totally agree about the Marcia Cross comment! I hated how they did Will & Grace when the chick was pregnant, how they really didn't even try to hide the big belly. And, Marcia Cross is pregnant with TWINS, which surely means she'll be really big on the show. I don't watch Studio 60, but I totally agree that it makes a lot more sense to just write it into the plot!!

I'm such a dork. My TiVo cut off the last few minutes of the show so I didn't realize they'd already incorporated her pregnancy into the story line. DUH.

Dude, don't you read Celebrity Babies?
