GRAVY

  • My first novel started with a mole. Yes, a MOLE - a freckle, a birthmark, whatever you want to call it.
  • I was at the pool with my daughter getting ignored by our swim instructor when a lifeguard with a particularly ripped abdomen walked by. He stopped to flirt with one of the female lifeguards and my eyes flew directly to an adorable mole on the top can of his six-pack.
  • "How cute!" I thought (among other things). "He looks like a character in a romance novel!"
  • So I went home and started writing fiction for the first time. That was over a year ago and I still haven't been able to stop. GRAVY is the story of a suburban housewife who wants another baby, but gets a man with a mole instead.
  • GRAVY is now available on Kindle and Nook!

Oh my gosh! I can't believe it. He is such big stuff. What are you doing without him? Is it wonderful?

Reading you for the first time. Laughter and tears, and much procrastination at work. Thanks for all the sharing.

Erin

Such a big boy! I was thinking about you today, after reading that Alex started pre-school today.

You know, I find that when I'm doing the right thing (for me or the kids) I usually feel great. Then I feel guilty for feeling great. Then I begin to doubt my decision. Usually I end up back at feeling great and realize that I made the right choice all along.

Awww! I'll be there with my youngest in two weeks. Waaaaa.

Bliss! To have a child go out into the Whole Wide World and learn new stuff and new words you'd never teach him ever! It's great! I'm with you on the nerves and phones. It gets easier. By the time #4 was ready I just put him by the road and pointed the way to the school. (not really, but it seemed that way)

It really doesn't get cuter than an excited blonde curly haired boy with a back pack on.

I never really got mushy when it came to sending my kids to preschool...they were excited to go which made me happy! Now I'm counting the days (just 2 more) until DD1 goes to school so I can have some peace and quiet! I hope his first day at preschool was a good one!

Jamie

I passed by you today on your way back from getting him (I was running late getting J...). I wish I had a picture of your face--you were full of what I could best describe as GLEE, grinning from ear to ear. It was really cute. :) I'm dying to hear what place you chose!!
